Track blood pressure on all systems: Free “Blood Pressure Data” app now available for iPhone, Android, Firefox OS, Windows 8/RT and Windows Phone 8!
Many people need to monitor their blood pressure constantly. Version 4 of the free iPhone and Android app “Blood Pressure Data” is available to record and graphically analyze all the data – for use by the attending physician as well. For the first time, the new version now allows data to be saved offline, for example at a vacation destination where there is no internet connection. Blood pressure is a constant worry. Anyone with high blood pressure not only has to take medication but must also constantly check whether it may be rising even further. The problem is that you do not notice high blood pressure. However, it can damage the heart and internal organs.
Horst Klier's free “Blood Pressure Data” app for iPhone and Android smartphones records measured values. The app records systolic and diastolic blood pressure together with the current pulse. When entered, the data are given a date and time stamp.
The app can analyze the figures and generate a colored line chart. This displays the readings over a freely selectable period. The data and chart can also be exported as a PDF – for printing and showing to the physician, who will then have all the figures needed for further treatment.
After a brief registration in the system, all data are managed centrally and, thanks to automatic synchronization, can be accessed not only in a web browser but also in all the apps. The system also records additional vital signs, including the user's weight, blood glucose level, body temperature and fluid balance (especially for people with chronic kidney disease, for example after a transplant).
“Blood Pressure Data” is now also available for many new operating systems
Version 4 of “Blood Pressure Data” for iPhone and Android includes an important new feature: New data can now be recorded even when there is no internet connection. The app then stores the new measurements – for example while on vacation or a business trip – and synchronizes them with the online server as soon as an internet connection can be established again.
The software is now also available free of charge on many new platforms and operating systems. It can be downloaded for the new Firefox OS, used on mobile devices running Windows Phone 8 and installed as an app on the new Windows 8 and Windows RT. The app is now also available to download from the Amazon Appstore for the Amazon Kindle Fire.
