"Blood Pressure Data" 3.0 for iPhone and Android: The free blood pressure log now records even more vital signs!
If blood pressure is too high, it can be dangerous. The "Blood Pressure Data" app for iPhone and Android smartphones is completely free and records the latest blood pressure and pulse readings each day. The graphical analysis of the data will please any doctor who is allowed to review the measurements. The new version records additional vital signs and improves the presentation of the charts.

If your blood pressure is too high, that is a problem. Over time, it can damage the heart and internal organs. Medication helps. But how well? To determine this, blood pressure must be monitored continuously.
The free "Blood Pressure Data" app by Horst Klier helps with this. It is available for both iPhone and Android devices. Current systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings are recorded in the app together with the pulse. The app automatically adds a date and time stamp to each entry.
A colored line chart presents the data clearly over any selected period-for example, so that the doctor can analyze it and take a very close look at how the patient's blood pressure has developed at the next appointment.
Once users have registered in the system with their email address, the data is managed centrally and can be accessed and edited as desired on the website, in the iOS app or on the Android device. Users are therefore not dependent on one device and can, if necessary, show the doctor the stored data in the web browser on the practice's PC if they do not have their iPhone with them. The analysis can also be saved as a PDF, printed out and added to the patient's medical record.
"Blood Pressure Data": New version with additional vital signs
A new version of "Blood Pressure Data" is now available in the App Store. This version includes the following new features:
- Additional vital signs: The app now also records the user's weight, blood glucose level, body temperature and fluid balance, especially for people with chronic kidney disease and particularly after a transplant.
- Improved charts: The presentation of the charts has been further optimized so that they look even better and are easier to read.
- Record events: Events such as a doctor's appointment or a change in medication can now also be recorded in the app.
Horst Klier: "We received a great deal of support from Bundesverband Niere e.V. and PKD Fam. Zystennieren e.V. while developing the new app. The new vital signs in particular are important for all kidney patients, who can now record precisely this information very easily in the app and have it analyzed."

"Blood Pressure Data" 3.0 (approx. 2 MB) is available in the iTunes App Store as a universal app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad-in the "Medical" category. The app is free and requires iOS 4.0.
"Blood Pressure Data" 3.0 (330 kb) for Android systems is available on Google Play in the "Medical" category. The app is also free there. It requires Android 2.1 or later.
