Restart the app

Sometimes you need to restart the app. However, returning to the home screen and opening the app again is not a real restart. The app is only hidden briefly and continues to run in the background. To completely remove it from memory, please follow these steps.

You can also simply turn the device off and on again. This will close all apps.

iOS (iPhone / iPad / iPod touch):

• On an iPhone X or later, or on an iPad with iOS 12 or later or iPadOS, swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen and pause briefly in the middle of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, double-press the Home button to show your recently used apps.
• Swipe right or left to find the app you want to close.
• Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

Android:

Most devices also have a built-in feature that shows your recently used apps and lets you close them.

For older devices, there are many task manager apps that can close apps. You can also find the "Force stop" option for the relevant app under Settings > Apps (or Applications).
